I am trying to add a slider to a set of carousel pages but I have an issue with the slider on iOS.
On iOS, when you touch the 'thumb' of the slider control to move the thumb and change the slider value, the thumb does not move, instead the carousel page responds to a swipe event and begins to scroll to the next or previous content page. I originally thought this might be down to the custom renderer I had added, but I downloaded the Xamarin 'Forms Gallery' sample and added a basic slider on to the carousel page example and the issue was there.
If you hold your finger on the thumb of the slider for a second, the slider does eventually get focus and can be moved but I need the slider to respond immediately when the slider is touched, and the page to respond to the swipe event only if the touch was not on the slider.
Can anybody help?
