Hi all
I have posted a thread with „wishes to the forum“ some time ago here:
https://forums.xamarin.com/discussion/42324/wishes-to-the-forum#latest
@JohnHardman has posted a suggestion, that adding a “forum-section” (where we can add our own documentation) would be useful (what I find a very good idea).
As we don’t know if, and if yes, when such a feature will be added, I start here “a community documentation thread”.
Maybe this thread would be “pinned” from Xamarin staff later, if enough content is included
But I think, some rules should take place, so that the thread leaves slim and “readable”.
Therefore my suggestions for the “rules” to post a documentation (posters):
- Please only post a title, a short description and a link to your “real description” here
- If you have a link to an already existing to a XF-thread, please post it first
- If you have a link to an external document / web-site, please post it also (as “backup”)
- And… “documentation’s” don’t have to be a “big .pdf” (like my first example below). If you have a XF-thread, that contains e.g. a code example for an often-asked theme, just post it here (with a meaningful title and short description). Often the “small hints” are the important ones
...and my suggestions for the “rules” to consume” a documentation (readers):
- Please don’t comment here to posted documentation’s, but “Like” documentations that have helped you (drive the mouse to the right top corner of the message an click the “Like”-Icon). So you can say “thanks” to the author and other users can see, which documentations are really useful
- But please comment (if you want to) in the related XF-thread (if there is one)
You can find my first posting below, so that you can see, how I mean it
I will add further documentation’s (messages) here in the near time…
Thanks for posting also your documentation here!
