Your experiences with update to Win10 + VS2015…?

Hi all

I work with Win 8.1 and VS2013 Update 2 and XF 1.4.4 “stable” and XLabs right now.

On the base of various reasons, I have to update to Windows 10 and VS2015 in the near time.
As we develop also with SW, that is not yet available for VS2015 (and also for security reasons ), I want to install VS2015 parallel to VS2013 and then overtake project for project form VS2013 to VS2015.

I think (not sure) the best strategy will be:

1. Make an image-backup to my developer machine (to be able to restore in worst case)
2. Update my machine to Win 10
3. Install VS2015 (parallel to VS2013)
4. Check main functions (mail, web, office and so on) and also VS2013 development
5. Solve some problems I needed and possible
6. Decide, if I can got with Win10 + VS2015 or not. If not, restore the image else take over project for project from VS2013 to VS 2015

As I’m sure that there are some out there, that have done this already and I think, this should be interesting for every XF VS developer, I post this thread here and hope, that I will receive meaningful feedback for me and all the other users.

So… please post here, If you have some information’s (problems, hints and so on) to:

• the update from Win 8.1 to Win10
• the parallel installation of VS2013 (or lower) and VS2015
• your experiences with XF + XLabs under VS2015
• your experiences with overtake a project from VS2013 (or lower) to VS2015
• …or any other useful information’s to the theme
